24th October stands testimony to the great sacrifices of our ancestors. It drives us to follow the footsteps of our predecessors, so as to support the subjugated people of Jammu and Kashmir in gaining their just and legitimate freedom : Brigadier Younus Javed

To jubilate 75th founding Day of Azad Government of the State of Jammu & Kashmir, Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur organised flag hoisting ceremony followed by seminar on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 09:00 hrs at City Campus of Mirpur University.

Directorate of Student’s Affairs ventured platinum Jubilee of Azad Government with departments of Computer Systems Engineering (CSE), Software Engineering, Computer Science & Information Technology (CS&IT), Society of Computer System Engineering & MUST Green Society. Brigadier Younus Javed, Vice Chancellor MUST, in his special message on Youm-e-Tasees said it is a historical day that symbolizes dawn of hope , travail struggle, unparalleled sacrifices of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters to achieve the right to self determination. He further said perseverance & sacrifices laid by the people of Jammu and Kashmir will surely yield success and will restore their freedom & denied rights.

Prof. Dr. Syed Mujtaba Jafri, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Mirpur University was Chief Guest of Youm-e-Tasees celebrations. At flag hoisting ceremony he was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Muhammad khalique, Treasurer MUST, Mr. Kamran Hameed, Controller of Examinations, Dr. Muhammad Altaf, Director Student’s Affairs & Lieutenant Colonel (R) Muhammad Usman, Chief Security Officer.

Dr. Sajid Manzoor, Chairman Computer System Engineering (CSE), Students of Society of Computer System Engineering (SCSE) & MUST Green Society delivered speeches, sang Kashmiri songs & displayed documentaries on multiple media.

Prof. Dr. Syed Hassan Mujtaba Jafri, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology handed over certificates to the organizers of the event & extolled the efforts of Directorate of Student’s Affairs, Department of Computer System Engineering, Software Engineering and Computer Science and Information Technology (CS&IT). At the culmination of the ceremony special prayers were offered for peace, solidarity and prosperity of Pakistan & State of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and especially for the early liberation of IndianĀ  occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
